Default Hot engine odor?

I have been considering upgrading our TT to a larger rig and was looking at different rigs. Thinking about a toy hauler and considered the scenario of being at a site and having a nice days ride and having to load the bike into the rig and travel to a spot to boondock for the night. It seems to me that the odor of gas and hot oil would permeate the trailer and make sleeping very unpleasant.
I know when I return home from a long ride and park in the garage, with out letting it cool off outside, I will smell it for hours.

I guess my question is; Is this normal? I always assumed this is normal and did not consider it a problem in the home garage as it is shut off from the living area.

I imagine in a toyhauler the garage is not sealed off from the rest of the trailer and this odor could be a problem. I expect I could deal with it but the wife is very annoyed when she encounters an unpleasant odor and would be a deal breaker for her.

I expect many of you here have experience with toyhaulers and motorcycles so I would appreciate any input.?

Do you work as a tech at a Jeep dealership by chance?

Well that stinks!

Anyhow…some toyhailers have a separate area for living & toys.

Larger toy haulers have separate garages, the smaller units you are all in the same room.

Pull your bike into the garage, close the door and hang out. Does it smell? She OK with whatever she smells?

Honestly I do not think a modern bike gives off much of an odor after a ride. Maybe you let it sit outside and cool off a little, not pull in immediately.

Good luck.

Trailering sure does get complicated.

Thanks for the input. She is not OK with the smell when I pull it into the garage at home, after a ride, so I have to let it cool off outside for awhile. Sometimes that is not convenient due to time or weather.
As I can imagine a time when needing to load up and go and sleep in the unit that is what prompted the question.

Yeah, I know I'm going to get roasted by some of you fellas here, but I don't give a sh##.
I think some of you might know better about dealing with a motorcycle in a camper than the guys in the RV forum.

Never had the slightest problem with that in 15 years of toy hauling my various HDs around the country.
