Hey guys a bit of a weird/useless question. I have a 08 dyna with a tc96. I’m kinda a faced passed guy tend to forget things because of it and I’ve had a few time where I would switch off my fuel pump put leave my ignition switch ( which obviously kills my battery) and I’m just wondering if anyone has any horror or a friend of a friend stories about leaving the fuel pump switch on all the time and just shutting the bike off with ignition only.
I think its probably good to exercise the switch once in awhile. The ignition switches have more robust contacts and easier to replace, so I think probably better to use the ignition. My FLHR I tend to use ignition, FLHTCUs I tend to use kill switch more because of placement of igntion switch, I don't know why I do it.
I wore out an igntion swith on my FLHR. it was easy to replace Glad I didn't have repalce a kill switch.
I'm old and forget **** all the time.
At home, I write myself notes and on my carb'd bikes I always put this on the dash as a reminder.
Find a spot where you know you'll see it and give it a try, it might help.
