Storing/securing your helmet while out & about on the bike
#61
Stealing a helmet... random act or resale?
IMO best is in post 42... small cable and lock.
Easy of operation, somewhat of a small item to carry and could prevent random act of stealing.
A lock to secure the helmet strap d-ring and if the d-ring strap is cut; renders helmet useless.
This lock could be the Harley frame mounted lock and perhaps most convenient.
Probably no secret, yet many helmets now cost near $600.
Best wishes and luck to the OP.

After my last accident, there was a guy standing over me that said, "I'm an off-duty cop, don't move."
So I didn't move.
Somebody, I'm not sure who, cut my helmet strap to get my helmet off. Later, when I stopped by an accessory shop
I use, to tell the owner about my accident. He mentioned he sold something that could replace the strap, he
even offered to fix my helmet for me.
Since there were some scratches on the face bar, I just replaced the helmet..
