I have a 89 FXSTC with a problem. It will migrateengine oil into the primary. I bought the bike from a close friend 2 years ago. The bike has never been abused and has had regular maintenance and oil changes. It was just fine for the last year and 1/2. I took a road trip last July to pay final respects to another close friend when it started. It was a relatively short ride, only 1800 miles round trip, but I lost 2 1/2 qts of oil. I found them in the primary when I got back home. I immediately replaced the engine main seal. Problem still there! It isn't puking oil on the ground. I have good pressure out of the crank vent hose.There in no unusual vibration or noise from the engine. It doesn't burn oil. The bike only has 34,400 miles on it. The engine and drive train is still stock.
Any ideas?!!!
