Default Sometimes hard to shift from 5th to 4th... Clicking?

Now that I grew some ***** and have been riding on the highways, I noticed that the bike sometimes doesn't want to shift from 5th to 4th. I get this clicking noise that I can feel in the shifter. It's basically like the gears aren't lining up or something? I dunno... I'm not too swift with the mechnical stuff.

Anyway, has anyone else had this issue? Is it a problem or just how it goes sometimes? Of course, I eventually get it into 4th and it's not a big ordeal or anything. It just doesn't go as easy as the other gears.

Ahhhhhh, cool. It makes me feel better if others have experienced it too.

I was talking specifically about downshifting (with the click), but I've also noticed that I sometimes shift to 5th real fast, only to find out when I let out the clutch that I'm still in 4th. It's only when upshifting pretty fast. I think I'm just not doing it hard enough or something.

Hey Man: had a similar difficulty on my bike. OK it has to do with the alignment of the shifter rod assy(in my case). Replaced the worn parts, tightened it up and we were home (not free though) when things are not just right, the shifter assy does not work in harmony with the shafts in the tranny. T.J.

I had a hard time down shifting and realized I wasn't letting the shifter back up full before trying to shift again, clicking sound is quiet when I get it right
