H.O.G. MEMBERSHIP
New to the world of harley, been reborn, do to weather conditions only could ride 3 times since purchase. Previous owner had membership and said it was transferable, if so how do I do that?

I would have thought it highly unlikely that HOG membership would be transferable with the bike (I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong here), and anyway his membership would have run out on January 1st. If you want to join, now's the time to do it - you'll get a full year's membership for your money and its not expensive - $45 (a lot cheaper than in the UK ) which seems good value to me.
Having said that, I didn't bother to renew my free membership that I had with the bike because I don't have a chapter near me.

You can't transfer HOG membership. You can transfer your warranty if it was still covered when you bought it. You can call them and join over the phone with a credit card or you can mail it in. After you have belonged (and paid) for 5 individual years you can pay one fee for a life membership. It's a great organization if you remain active with your local chapter.
Go to the www.harleydavidson.com and pick up the link to HOG for more info. National HOG is great but getting involved with your local HOG Chapter gets you the activity that you will probably enjoy.

Actually, HOG membership runs one calendar year from when you purchase the bike - new from the dealer only. Its only our local chapter which runs from Jan 1st.
