That is actually just a picture for you to get an idea on my radio's model, its not my setup... thou the routerscan bewired to radios for data transference purposes, it started back in the 80's I believe... with a program named "packet" if I'm not mistaken...

I got my ham license when i was 15 and never really touched cb's after that.... VHF/UHF ham bands have been a life saver (literally, twice..) on camping trips with scouts....The internet may be useful in its own way...but hell, cant take a laptop camping in the high countryand call for help

This is one of the bettersets that I ran.



That along with a little help and afour element beam and you could talk upper or lower sideband, and anything in between.

I was the Baltimore Kid backin those days. Had a Black Trans Am 3 months before Smokey and the Bandit came out.

Skype gets far more use on my end because I can run video as well as voice. Between Skype and the cell phone I hardly turn on the Icom 746Pro any more and am thinking of selling it on EBay.
