GOOD Dealers and Experiences

New member that just joined and hopes to finally get a Harley in the next few months. I've read many pages here, covering all of 2012, and found one post about a Houston area dealer giving kudos to San Jacinto HD. With over 150 pages it's a LOT to cover. Could comments on the Houston area dealers be repeated? Is there a database anywhere for this thread and the bad dealer thread that lists the dealer names alphabetically and how many times they are mentioned in each thread? That would be very useful info.

Ithaca Harley Davidson - "near" Ithaca, NY. Bought my 2012 Fatboy from them this spring. It is my first Harley, and I bought it from John Sorgi - the owner. No pressure, and he was able to locate the black denim bike I wanted in a couple of days. Took it back after a month, and Nub back in service installed my Stage 1, and Big Radius pipes in the middle of their busy season. Took it in for my 1000 miles service and asked some questions about the decel popping on the pipes, and my inability to find neutral when running. Think they put 10 miles on the bike, so I know they checked it all out when they were done. I can now usually find neutral. Still have the decel pop, but they explained that is the nature of the beast with these pipes without getting it tuned. Stopped in today to order a touring pillion for my wife. They had it in stock. Also picked up the owners manual while I was there. No need for me to look anyplace else. Happy with Ithaca Harley Davidson.

I would like to give a shout-out to Southeast Harley in Cleveland. I have been in a few dealers in NE Ohio and they all seem kind of 'cliquish'. Also, the minute I go into these stores, sales people bum rush me asking me what I am interested in. Southwest has the sales folks as well but they are more cordial and less aggressive. I would describe the atmosphere as very friendly. The owners and staff have a more homegrown feel to them.
Unfortunately, this is not the dealer I bought the bike from but is where I will go for service or any other needs or for shopping. They also have a cafe inside the shop, which is nice to get a bite to eat if you are just stopping in.
Customers are friendly as well. I have found there are less of the hardcore-poser types standing around outside the front door. More just down-to-earth types.
