Default brake caliper

Any one ever had a rear brake caliper freeze up on them, not while i was riding thank god any feed back will help is this a common thing.

Yes. The caliper on my wife's Continental froze up about two years ago. Brakes got real hot. Do you have more info on what happened, what bike or car? What year, how many miles? Have the calipers been chromed, stock? Come on, you can do better.

Kind of. The pads hadn't ever been changed and were very thin ('94FLHTCU). When I took off the rear wheel to get a new tire, I took off the caliper to put on new pads. I could not compress the cylinders (frozen). I bought a cheap mechanical caliper cylinder compressor but had to reassemble it to work. It did. I think its just dirt and stuff. Now it works fine.
