I was surprised. But, that's what my mileage figured to be which includes twisties, superslab, and straight/flat hiway.

Pretty neat that something that gives me so many grins and giggles gets good mileage to boot!

Now, how cool is that?

your saying you guys get 250 miles out of a tank? Us canadians are getting screwed, maybe our gas sucks. I only get 250Km's out of a tank. That's only 156 miles. Maybe my bike is running really really rich.

 

I too was surprised to find I'm getting 45 mpg in mixed driving. Then you read where some guys are getting only 32 mpg with the same engine. Must be all that extra hp they're getting from the stage 1s.

Dunno for sure how big the tank is on my Deuce. I think it's only 4 gallons.

The figures are:

178.3 miles traveled
3.576 gallons to replentish
49.860 MPG

Actually, it did better, for I forgot to clear/set the trip meter until I had gone a few miles on this tank. Realistically, the tank had about 5 miles on it before I thought to reset the trip meter.

Thus, it may actually get:

183.3 miles traveled
3.576 gallons to replentish
51.258 MPG

Like I said, what a pleasant surprise!

Yeah, well my Honda Shadow 1100 got 32mpg on its best day. So there. Love my 42 mpg Heritage.

 

I always get 42-52 mpg.Too bad my sportster only has a 3.3 gallon tank

 

I get 40 to 45 mpgwith my TC88 RK if I keep my wrist out of it. My average is probably closer to 35 to 40 mpg. I'm happy with it either way.

 

Last time I checked I was getting 30+ mostly in city, lot of stop and go.

 

last time i checked 51.7 . mixed driving on a stock 07 superglide.

 

I've checkedseveral tanks, 37-41 usually (rough guess is about 39-40 average). Someday I intend to average across 3-5 tanks to eliminate error due to top off level.
