On a set of tins?&nbsp\\; Does anyone know offhand.&nbsp\\; Not "denim" but just a regular flat black primer.&nbsp\\; I want to get my other set of tins flat black primered and pinstiped red and white with a "coop" devil head or some lesbian devil girls or something on them.&nbsp\\; Totally gangsta hot rod style.&nbsp\\; What do you think, and is this the kind of paint job a first timer could themselves? &nbsp\\;

 

I just got a quote from a neighbor for $600.&nbsp\\; If I only had $600 cash.&nbsp\\; Time to start saving again.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

 

$600 maybe for good sheet metal and a scuff and squirt. The paint job your talking about without a chic would be around $1200.00-$1500.00 in Chicago. Prime it yourself, just watch for overs spray. It's not a big deal at all, if your just using primer and not a satin finish.

 

With a sprayer or a rattle can?&nbsp\\; I don't ahve a paint fun whatever it is called.&nbsp\\; Shall I invest in one?

 

$1.99 per can rustolean at home&nbsp\\;depot prime it and paint it yourself I did my rat mercury less than $60.00 turned out nice.

 

Look into powdercoat... cheap and strong... Mine was around $400 for a full set of tins in matte black....

 

I was looking into the same thing except with some gloss/vivid black/matte black combination.Is the mate as bad as the denim as far as maintanance &amp\\;\\\\\\; care..

 

Saw one one at the Kearney Mesa dealer yesterday,,,,,,he had it 99% blacked out,looked real sharp. He said he rarely washes it, because the flat/matte black really does hide to average dirt. Not sure what he used, but it looked hot, literally

 

No issues.. I just wipe it with a clean cloth...
