Picked up a new 08 Street Bob in Denim Black last Saturday from HD of Frederick. Excellent deal and excellent people to deal with.

I am coming from a sport bike background so its a completely new experience for me and I LIKEY!

My initial reactions:
- clutch is real light
- transmission is oh so sillky smooth
- corners like its on rails, real solid through the sweepers
- brakes are starting to break in a bit so they are getting better

So now my question is about the exhaust. I was initially going to swap it out for a black one but I am having second thoughts.

Now I am thinking of possibly keeping the chrome exhaust and replacing the heat shield with a black one to get the contrast thing happening. Is that even possible to just switch the heat shield?

Congrats. As for the heat shield I don't know, but if you're determined enough a chrome shop will strip the chrome and then you can powder coat it.

I'd change the exhaust, stock sounds like poo.
