Mine is 396 per year with Progressive. I have a clean driving record, but no safety course and my credit is ok.

USAA subcontracts their motorcycle coverage to Progressive. You still get some kind of special USAA "benefits", but I'm not 100% sure what the difference is between going to Progressive through USAA or going to them directly. I was told the price is slightly less for USAA members.

Anyway, I pay something like $580 for a year. Not sure why you keep getting high quotes?

I have all kinds of insurance through USAA (house, personal articles floater, two cars, motorcycle) and financed my home through them, so maybe that's why I get a better price?

I have USAA also and it cost me a little over 500 bucks for full coverage. However, they cover everything else too. I believe I get a discount for multiple vehicles.

About 3 years ago , did you get a huge jump on the home insurance? Just across the river they went nutz and basically were basing replacement values on ****cago costs!! Dad's house is over by Scott AFB , he ended up changing over to armed forces insurance MUCH better home rate , USAA still rocks on the auto ..... home ins may have been readjusted recently, will find out soon as I'm gonna buy his house.

I went with State Farm (who also insures my home and cars) and it was $350 with a $1000 deduct. I pay cash for everything and then put money into an account to cover whatever damage I may have to pay if and when I need to. I find that I can save (invest) more and gain the interest on the fund.
