Thumbs up Michigan's UP Fall color was great

I spent a week in Michigan's UP site seeing the fall color. It has been some 35 years since I did this trip and even though it was cold and occasionally misty it was a great time. I never had to put my rain suit on and the heated vest kept me warm. Here are a couple of pictures.

Beautiful pictures. I live in Michigan and I'm ashamed to say I've never ridden in the UP.

Wow, great pictures. That must have been some ride. I was born in the UP however moved to Tx. when I was four. The only time I have gone back to visit has been summers. I need to get up there in the fall one of these years.

After Labor Day my gal and I took 7 days and rode around lake michigan. It was an excellent ride. The only down side of the trip was going to bed in Marquette at 90 deg and waking up to a morning ride of 50 deg. But all in all, it was a great place to ride!!!!

Nice pix! Gramma & I just moved from Ironwood in the UP. Did lots of riding looking at tree color before we left. It's snowing there now. We moved to Kentucky last week to get away from winter. Now we can ride just about year 'round and see the tree color again down here.

One thing nice about fall colors in Michigan, wait a week and they move south.

We missed the spectacular colors when we did the Lake Michigan circle tour at the beginning of the month, but fret not barjbar, you don't have to go far. Catch the colors in the Waterloo/Jackson/Irish Hills area. Plenty of wooded areas, elevation 1000 - 1200 feet. From Novi, take Beck to North Territorial, to 52 to Waterloo. Past Waterloo take Mt. Hope to Seymour into Jackson. From there you can take S. Jackson to M-12 or Spring Arbor to Moscow to M-12 then E. to Irish Hills.

Love the pictures GT, and I don't want to highjack the thread, just trying to point a brother to a colorful ride.

Awesome pictures. Thanks!!
Ohio's Fall wasn't bad either.
Nothing beats riding under the trees when the leaves change color.
Well, ok. Some things do.... lol
