Default To ABS or not to ABS

Ok looking at an 09 RKC, is the ABS that much better? I've been riding earlier w/o it. Can't decide, its almost another $1000

What's an accident or losing some hide worth? If I had the option, I would have got it. I love it on my cars. Put the bike in a couple skids, kept control but wonder if I would have skidded at all if it had ABS. (Is skidded a word??)

I like the feel of non abs brakes better on 2 wheels. Been racing/riding off road bikes for years and ride on the edge of lockup anytime you use the brakes. I like the extra feel'

i jumped on my brakes real hard once and was sure glad to have ABS. Complete control. Would have been down without ABS.

Now that I've had ABS on a bike, if I have a choice I'll always get it again. Worth every cent.

Absolutley ABS! I've only had it kick in on the rear, but thats saved me from some back-skidding more than once. HD has a DVD that shows ABS versus non-ABS on a wet course -- it came with my bike -- that'll convince you!

Default abs

I got it for the resale if it ever came to that. Not a month after I got the bike, I feel I was in a situation that would have ended very bad without it. I havent thought twice about it since.

No Brainer, ABS all the way. Panic stop, rain, oil on the road, no way you can do better on your own than with ABS.

Get the ABS. You may only need it once for it to be worth the $$.

Absolutely ABS. Had it kick in once when I had to grab hard in the rain. Saved me from what could have been a lot of grief.
