I put the one in this pick on my 09 Heritage. It looks great & most think I have an older bike in showroom condition.

Mine is the center part of a football over a smooth round cover. I was gonna do it like Pig in a Blanket, but I wanted to be able to run it open or with the round cover.

If anybody's interested, the cover that OldFenderGuy and GolfBlues have installed is HD p/n 29138-91 and sells for about $55.

Nice job to a few of you, with the improvisational use of the Center Ring etc. I really like when someone uses what they have and changes it to suit them, seems to make it more your own that way.

It was pretty simple.

1. take the stock cover off and take it inside then heat the round emblem up with a hair dryer
2. pry up the emblem gently with a credit card or something similar.
3. clean up the back of the emblem to get rid of any old sticky tape residue
4. reattach the emblem to the new HD smooth round air cleaner with some new 3m automobile trim adhesive tape (I found some at Pep Boys, use the tape with the red backing)
5. put the new cover on the bike and ride like a bat out of hell
