i know it maybe early but its my first HD and i am planning to ride to the Americade 2009 held in Lake George,NY... how about some feedback on the past Americades ? is it worth going ? is Laconia better ?

 

I went to Americade this year and had a blast. Lake George and the surrounding area is beautiful and great riding. The vendors were ok, no great deals that I saw. We're planning on going again this year.

 

Great rally, seems as though I seen more tour bikes than cruisers. Could have been just me.

Beautiful area. Google Earth the location, I think you will enjoy it.

Am I wrong...but Americade used to be more Goldwing leaning? Seems I heard that a few years ago? I MAYB E WRONG.....don't sue me. I never made it that far. I rode from Florida to Binghamton NY one year and never got to Americade LOL

back in the early or mid eighties(aspencade) this was the jam for goldwingers and jap bikes i never made it ,till this past year every type of bike rider, good event laid back i just did not like the idea of paying an admission fee to browse/buy motorcycle accessories.
town was packed ,had to stay in glens falls and then cruised up to lake placid beautiful riding
