Boots that will give me more height?
I tried doing a search but it wasn't giving me what I want, so sorry if this has been discussed to death already. But my problem is I am short and would like to be a little more flatfooted on my bike without having to lower it. I was wondering if anyone has found a good supportive boot that has more tread to it or more height, not sure how to describe what I mean, that will make me a little "taller", so I have a little better footing. Any suggestions?

Hey Perch....try Leather Up.com or Jafrum.com they carry good boots and most will give heel height. I bought the "executioner" boots from Leatherup.com and the heels are pretty high. Almost too high for me. I'm 5'9" so really didn't need a lot. Good luck

We wear DAYTON boots up here, and we used to get them double soled. Some times triple soled, it was the COOL thing to do at the time. And i didnt even have height issues. But this could help your issue, makes the boots look really BEEFY. Not sure how much you would gain in HEIGHT.

Have you considered having a pair that you like resoled? I have a pair of cowboy boots that I had made in Tucson a million years ago that are about as good as it gets and every few years I have new soles put on them. Last couple of times my guy has used a nice rubber sole that wears well and is not slippery in the Chicago weather. They will be due in another year and I will have a little thicker sole put on this time.

Well, IMHO, you would do REALLY good, starting out with these:
THEN pair 'em up with this:
NOW, I am not certain this will 'assist' you in being more 'flatfooted' or not, Perch. BUT, I guar-own-tee you, if you are wearing these, there will be enough 'guys' hawkin' 'round you, that the scoot will NEVER GET CLOSE TO THE GROUND.
EVEN if it does, it'll have a soft landing on one of their tongues, that's hangin' out.
Sorry, kiddo, I'm 6'6", so it's hard for me to 'relate'.
