Default Renting a harley Question???

Got a question what does it cost to rent a harley? Probably a Streetglide

Would be looking at renting one in the tampa/ st petersburg fla area if i did rent.

What would i look at cost per day?

What type of credit card deposit hold do they put on you?

just curious. Trying to con the wife into flying to fla for cpl days and riding lol.

My local dealer rents HD's for $150 a day (24 hour rental). They also have a special on Sunday for $60 from 10am to 4:30pm. Make sure you have insurance coverage because the dealer will not sell you any insurance. My dealer took a $1200 deposit out on the credit card and was refunded within 24 hours of me returning the bike. This is here in Cal but the dealer in Florida may be different. Give them a call.

Thanks for the info, i checked out the fly and ride info on harley site and got some interesting info. $100 a day, $2000 check or credit card deposit. Orlando or Miami if going to fla is where you can pick up at.

Chrome Horse Rents Harleys for the Tampa Area around 120.00 a day, unless a special event like Daytona then is a lot higher .. but their rates are pretty fair if compare with others .. I believe Tampa H-D rents as well but not familiar with their rates, the reason know about Chrome Horse is a Buddy of mine used them when flew down here and got the weekend special rental of $333.00 ..

it would seem that you would need proof of insurance and a motorcycle endorsement to show proficiency on a bike not sure. maybe that is why they have the 1200 deposit. guess they would keep that and make your insurance pay for any damages.

Brother just rented a Street Glide this last weekend from Cigar City rentals , Tampa HD. $99 per day if you go three days ,I think. All 2009 rentals. I think it is a couple thousand deposit on card, returned when you do the same.

Hub and I have rented from Naples HD the last two years. Late year we got a Deluxe and a bagger and I want to say they were about $145 a day. If you are a HOG member you will get a slightly better deal(we are both members). If you look at the dealer website where you want to rent they should have all the info you need. Have Fun!!!

If you are a HOG memeber check on the "Fly and Ride" program. $100/day out the door. Biggest drawback is they have very few bikes so you have to reserve early
