Last year for kick start???
This is a copy of a post made on 1/24 by a Honda rider joining in on some good old Harley bashing...
"We had 2 young ladies that ride Harleys join us for breakfast one morning. The disscussion went like this, "she asked if I did my own wrenching on the wing, I said no since it was still under warranty and had not had any problems, she stated she had to turn back 3 times to pick up her kick starter just that very morning since it kept falling off. I expressed my sympathy and every one went their own way after that. I bought a Honda to ride, she obviously bought a Harley to work on."
Either this guy has an excellent memory or he got caught up in the moment.
When did Harley stop using the kick starter?? Hasn't it been a few years???

So she was riding an older bike and looking for someone to put the kick starter back on.
Not really a comparison to a bike under warranty.
I know people who don't know the first thing about wrenching. They bought older bikes and didn't even think about maintenance. They usually are the type who pay too much.

There was an '85 Softail Custom at a dealer near here last fall with a kicker & electric starter.
