Default Reliability sucks

I bought a used 94 Dyna Convertible, rode it for 7 years and had to repair broken stuff twice. I've owned many different brand bikes over the years but always wanted HD. When I lost my bike in 05 I didn't really consider anything but another HD. I bought a brand new 07 Dyna Low a bit over two years ago--its had two different oil leaks, a bad rear bearing (which ruined the rear axle), and the front master cylinder crapped out. This past weekend the security system "key" light stayed on and the right blinkers no longer blink, but the same lights do light up when the alarm "chirps."--I think the $300 security module is bad. They keep building more POS bikes like this one and they'll have more problems than just the tanking economy. These bikes are mighty expensive to have so damm many problems.

Rant complete

Cry me a ****in' river. Should have gotten a lemon law on the bike after 3 problems and got a new one, that many problems isn't the norm. If you don't like the bike I'll take it off your hands for $20 and you can buy a Yamaha.

Not to take away from your issues.......nothing worse than a car or bike that keeps giving you grief........but your problems are unusual (you must have gotten that "built on Monday or Friday" bike). The Dyna is notoriously reliable, at the shop we see a lot more touring bikes and sporties than we ever see Dyna's

Lemon law doesn't apply to motorcycles, boats or heavy duty trucks. My Harley has been reliable but then again, so have all 5 of my Yamaha machines and one of those is 13 years old.

Harley should build em better? My 99 went over 40,000 miles with 0 problems and my 07 has been just as good with 17,000 miles so far. How can it get better than that? It looks like your bike sucks but harley's reliability is very good overall.

I've never had a problem with the last 2 H-D's I've had... Excellent reliability. Sorry to hear of your bad luck with your's though.

Doesn't sound normal to me either. My '07 is a RK (and I love her). Therefore I can't say about '07 Dyna's but that family is pretty well known for good reliability. Sorry you've had these issues.
