Default Need a good Backpack

So my dog chewed up my North Face backpack. I need to get something else. Don't want saddlebags and I don't wanna trade for a bagger.

Like to have something leather, black, can carry my laptop for work, and maybe a little extra roominess.

Saw someone on the road yesterday with one that went over one shoulder and under the other arm. Kinda like one of those bike messenger bags. Looked pretty good.

Anybody got pics of what they are using?

(don't bash me about about doing a search cause I tried that.)

Just wondering if there is anything new out there that I don't know about.

I just got a nice EastSport at Wal Mart. It has a place for a laptop and has padded lumbar at your lower back. It's not leather but it's black and kinda plain looking.

HAHAHAHA I'd rather spend $20 on a back pack than a couple hundred on saddlebags. If I wanted bags I would have bought a bagger instead of my DYNA. If I go on any long trips I just take my roll bag and go.

WHEW get more coffee.......

I may look a little dorky the few times I use a backpack while riding. But when I use one I am riding on someone else's dime.. Sometimes I have to go out & measure a boat or truck for lettering so I need some paper, pen, rollup rule & usually a digital camera. I charge for the time out so typically it will cost the boat owner about $60 for a measurement, worked into the final price. If I can be paid $60 for an hours worth of riding, I'll take it.

Look... I don't need any fukin judgements. I asked a simple question and thought I could get some advise on what others have liked. I hate to shop. I don't care if it's fashionable. I just want something small, durable, and protective for a laptop.

I had some god dam saddlebags and hated it. I think they look like straight up *** on a Dyna. Do you see me bashing people for doing it? No. To each their own. But you dam sure see a lot of people on here asking for ideas on saddlebags.

Is it too much to fukin ask what others have found? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that is what this forum was for.

Do not let them bother you. They are real bikers with a keyboard as an extension of their *****.
I too use one from walmart. I actually do something that requires me to carry books and a laptop for work. Backpack is the best choice. If you get one of the leather messenger bags, let me know how it works out.

Check out Jansport brand. Good quality and reasonable price. I got mine from Academy Sports. I wanted black but settled on camo. Don't really care too much about appearance as long as it ain't pink

I use one of these.

Fits a big Macbook Pro and some books and such.

Used it on my Sportster, haven't tried it on the Dyna yet. I'm going to try and find a way to secure it to the sissy bar so I don't have to wear it on my back when I ride.

I do have saddlebags (that haven't been installed yet), but they aren't large enough to store my laptop.
