Apparently a lot of folks don't know the "signal".

Last summer I was riding home from a ride (helmet on) and turned on my street and there was a LEO with radar gun.

A bit up the street a bike was coming the other way and I tapped my helmet. Guy must have thought I was referring to his lack of a helmet and gave me a dirty look.

My wife got home a few minutes later and said a bike was pulled over on our street and the guy was geting a ticket.

Oh well, we do what we can.

I'll admit, that's one signal I didn't know. I just wish all these yahoos stopping on the side of the road to make a phone call wouldn't put their helmets under the rear tire...I get tired of stopping for no good reason.
