cutting baffles
I have the V&H Big shots staggered on my 06 night train with the quiet baffles. The tone is good but they need to be louder. I didn't like the tone of the standard baffles. A friend says we should put the baffles on the chop saw & start trimming until I get the sound I like. Anyone done this? I have thought of getting the Big City Thunder baffles, but if this works I'll save some $$.

Don't have to worry about tickets in our area apparently. Every other pickup has a modified exhaust & MC seem to get away with anything. When I got my bike inspected, the only thing on exhaust was having a baffle. Noise did'nt matter so said the inspector.

Back pressure is over rated by the way. A certian amount of back pressure will keep the torque numbers up but to increase horse power you need a free flowing exhaust. Evo's seem to run great with no baffles, at least the way I had them built they did. My TC however has minimal baffleage and is over 100/100...whichis all you need on a bagger...
