Default Test rode a new Indian

Our local Indian dealer had an open house this past Saturday, thought I would check them out and hopefully ride one. The bikes are beautiful, but way over priced. I rode the top of the line Chief thinking it would be worth the money....I was very disapointed. The bike vibrated like an older Harley and the excelleration was very shakey. Needless to say if I had the $40,000 to buy one, I would save my money.

I was just kiddin with ya anyway. I can't believe they brought back the "Indian" anyway...let alone with the money they want for it. I don't know who'd be crazy enough to spend that kind of money on such an unstable company. Enjoy your RKC ! It's a much nicer bike anyway!

You sayin' they use a solid mounted unbalanced VTwin?

The RUBs aren't gonna like that

I wouldn't like it either though

Maybe the folks at Indian figure their potential customer isn't gonna ride it much anyway.

and at 40,000 grand...you can literally buy twice the bike from Harley....say one tourer and one bar hopper....and still have cash to buy some rounds!!!!

I read some place where they are only going to produce about 3000 a year to keep it indemand, and only want to cater to an elite group. now if thats true or not I don't know,But it is a good looking motor.

IF I were to EVER be interested in an Indian (and I do admire the originals)... then I would HAVE to have a late 40's/early 50's model. "Today's" Indian is waaaaay over priced, to say nothing of it being such an unstable company.
