Default Question about Brake Light - 3 flashes then solid?

So, I have recently noticed that my bikes both have brake lights that flash 3 times, then go solid on each application of the foot or hand brake.

I am guessing this is something my dad did. My question is: What might this module be called, who might make it, and where might it be installed?

I know it sounds dumb, but I never see my own brake light on my Road Glide, and it wasn't until I was following behind my Electra Glide that I noticed the blinking, then I checked my bike and saw it was the same. Haven't seen another FL model do this, so I am assuming it's aftermarket.

Anyone able to steer me to some info on this addon?

Several different brands. Pull the seats and look. I installed one from Kury and one from HD on each bike. The Kury does what you describe but the HD mod that I installed on the other bike just makes the rear blinkers into brake lights when not being used to turn.

Come to think of it, they blink AND use the rear signals for bake lights when not turning.

Under the seat, got it, will look.

google KISAN technologies (among many) who makes modulators for brake/headlights, etc. Link for their tailblazer: http://www.kisantech.com/index.php?cat_id=3

Sounds more like the Kuryakyn Panacea Taillight System http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...catID/8/scID/3. I have this system on my Ultra and it works great.

I think it's the Kuryakyn Run/Turn/Brake controller with flash enabled. It's what I have. The Panacea system refers to the LED replacement light with the yellow arrows built in...Too busy for me.

You certainly can't argue with the increased attention that these light kits get.
