is there anyway to block an entire forum thread section? i would love it if i could never see any of the "political" threads ever again.

i lean my own way in politics, and do not base my opinions on others or whatever "party" is in presidency.

i would absolutely love to not see everyones ignorant and biased opinions blasted every other thread....

i know that you can block certain people, but i really do not want to start blocking everyone, then who could i b*tch to

but seriously, is it possible?

 

How do you know they are ignorant opinions? I think we can safely say they are biased just like yours.

 

when you choose NOT to read such threads, are you not, in essence already blocking it?

Or would you rather put up with OIL threads?

 

I have found no way to 'filter' threads. I didn't come to the HD forum for politics, but they serve a purpose. Just don't read them if they offend you.

 

These political threads are an indication of our free and open . . . . oh never mind.

 

If'n ya don't wanna read them, don't go there.

Ask a Moderator (Now who'd a thunk that a Moderator might be able to answer a question about the forums? What will they think of next?) to have you "banned" from the political forum. Then you won't be able to go there.

 

I jus' use the "DO NOT READ" button, It would be the one, under your index finger. DON'T CLICK ON THEM, Silly!!!

Me thinx that's why they call it "A FORUM". IF only 'one' opinion were allowed, it would be "A LECTURE". JMFUO, tho, as usual.

 

Gump, you make a valid point. I kinda like living in a free country where I can enjoy ALL of the things that I wanna, and avoid the thangs I wanna.

 

If Republicans were still in power, there would be a way to block threads. Leave to the Democrats to screw us out of that too.

 

Your attitude towards the political section is the fault. If you looked at the rampant paranoia as a form of entertainment it would help you appreciate it for the humor it is. I get pure enjoyment out of the fools who rant and rave like it really matters in that section. It goes from being a pep rally to just ridiculous rumor mongering. I give thanks everyday for fools to save us from boredom.
