Default Fuel Pack Question...

I recently bought a 2006 Wide Glide. I have VH slip ons - but i was wondering about a fuel pack mostly. What exactly do they do - and how can i tell if the previous owner already installed one? Is there something i can look at? Is there anything you guys think i should take a look at as far as non obvious mods are concerned?

Thanks in advance.

If there is a fuel pac installed, it would be piggy backed on top of your battery. Take your seat off and you would see it.

If you don't have a fuel pac I would not get one. Try a PCIII or something else. I have the Big Radius exhaust with fuel pac and am actually thinking of pulling the bike back to stock until I can save some money for a PCIII. I am getting way to much popping and it seems to run crappy when going slow. Highway speeds it seams to run well but I can even hear an slight popping every once in a while at 70 mph. I'm going to pull the battery this weekend and check all the connections for the fuel pac making sure there is no moisture in them.

Call V&H and talk to one of the techs. Explain your problem and they should give you some new settings for the program. I did that and only have a pop every once in a while.

+1 pretty basic. look at V&H website to see what you're looking for.

If the bike runs good just leave it alone. If you want to check the settings go to the fuelpac website, input your bikes info & you will get a printout with your settings & instructions to program it. Just check if they are correct.
