LED Signal Equalizer?......What's inside??
re: my other post in the sportster forum.
Anyone know what's in the Equalizer, thats needed to slow the faster blinking LEDs in the signal lights?
Can just a resistor be placed inline, if so which?
Any Png's on board willing to help?...I can solder.

I'm sure it is a resistor. The resistor is not "in-line" or in series with the load. It is parrallel with the load. LED lights draw less current than filament type bulbs. The load equallizer is used is increase the current in the circuit so the electronics will function correctly. A 30w bulb will draw around 2.5 Amps and a LED "bulb" will probably only draw around .2 Amps. This is just an example. To draw another 2.3 Amps you would need a 5.2 ohm resister in parallel with the LED. The resistor would need to have a power rating of 27 watts for continous duty. Something less for a turn signal or brake light. For a turn signal, assuming a 50% duty cycle, you could probably use a 15 watt resistor
