SD Tri-Star XP turn signal module wiring.
Once I start the motor (with turn signal still active) the turn signal stops flashing and still stays brightly lit (as if brake was activated) but still nothing when brakes are applied. [sm=confused06.gif]
I have triple checked to verify I have it wired properly but still no go. Removed signal wire from brakes to see if they would dim down to just running light brightness with no improvement. In my latest phone conversation with them, they stated that problem could be with the main harness running too close to the high voltage spark plug wires, causing static in their modules circuitry. The main harness is run along the same frame rail under the tank as the spark plug wire to the rear cylinder with just the rail separating them.
Let it be known that this is NOT a knock on Signal Dynamics products or their customer service. I have successfully installed both their Diamond Star headlight modulator and the BackOff brake modulator. They spent over half an hour on the phone with me troubleshooting an issue I had with the BackOff installation while they helped me find my error of tapping into the wrong wire. [sm=oopssign.gif] (Damn colorblindness [sm=smiley23.gif]strikes again!!) Customer service has been nothing but first class and I’m extremely happy with the way both modules perform.
Sorry for the long post but the bottom line I’d like to know is if anyone else has had a problem like this and if you were able to fix it?
