Default Ca. Fires

To all California riders, A group of us are going to be riding in California next week and I was wondering about the fires there. We will be taking US395 to Yosemite National Park, Ca120 through the park, Ca49 north to Ca12 to Napa. Any problems?

You should be fine on that route. Most of the fires are closer to the coast line. But, you never know when or where one can happen.

You should be OK on that route, the fires are mostly South and West of you planned route.

Just check a couple of days before you leave, just to be on the safe side.

If you are jumping on the 395 off the 15 then all you will run into is smoke. The air quality sucks but the golden tint to everything is eerily cool.

There is one fire burning in Yosemite that is near CA120 (Tioga Pass Rd). This road has been CLOSED. The fire started last Wednesday and has doubled since then. You might need to go another route.

To keep up to date on current burns, check with Cal Fire
http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_current
or InciWeb for complete synopsis
