never really understood full face helmets on a harley...just never though it looked right..i rock a skid lid (illegal 1/2 helmet) when i ride. not claiming to be a badass, but i've tried on all the DOT helmets i can get my hands on and each one has felt like i'm wearing a football helmet..i take my cues from my dad and he's been riding 40+ years with a skid lid and is still in tact from the shoulders up (a little less hair than he had 40 years ago though). i'll never say a word against anyone on any bike for what they wear or what they choose to put on their bike...its your ride and your choice, do wat you want wear what you want and enjoy the road.

aloha,
toastman

Smile It's the Jerry Springer Show

Whoa! You guys are fast! I am still contemplating the OP distinction of touring bikes on a long trip and a cruiser on the open road. I can't decide until I have the answer. It seems like there is always room for another thread on helmets. Even my proctologist has an opinion, but posting it would only fan the flames. John

To hell with fashion, I wear a full face on my cruiser no matter what the temperature.

Its good to express ones own opinions here, whether others think Ur right or wrong.
My opinion of how to have a good post it to not put others down just because they don't think the way I do.

I don't even own a FF. I do own one helmet, a 3/4 with a shield, that I use for cooler weather.

exactly.
I'd never knock anyone for wearing a helmet, or not wearing one
