I was on the net and saw where aprilia had come out with an 850 Mana with automatic transmission.I have often thought about how it would be to have an automatic on my ultra.I wonder if other manufacturers are going to have auto trans bikes?

 

I wouldn't own a auto. It would take alot of the fun and control out of it. Maybe its just me.

Honda has done it before ... but there latest auto is pretty slick .. Google Honda DN-01 and you'll see it. I see nothing wrong with it. I shattered my left ankle and leg years ago ... slipped on a parachute bag in my friggin' garage and fell on my own leg (250 lbs) ... and ... I have lots of titanium plates, screws and pins in the thing. If I ever lose ability to shift ... I'm not giving up riding ... I'd either get a suicide shifter ... or ... get something like that Honda contraption. Hell ... riding is the thing ... sure ... I'd rather my HD ... but riding is the thing.

 

My first street bike was a Hondamatic. It was a nightmare going slow with no clutch to work. I could see it being a benefit for some people, but I'd prefer something with a clutch.
