Default Bike Shows

Anybody else notice how political these have become? One I was at Saturday the fella saying who won in each catagory was making excuses, couldn't believe it.

There are definitely some that are very "clicky".

A few years back, entered the chop in a local 'show'. We got "0" votes from the judges, BUT walked off with People's Choice. A week later, we went to a local bar putting on a, ride in what ya got, bike show. A guy who evidentally 'knows' some of the peeps in the "Click", informed me in no uncertain terms, MANY of "them" were rather pizzt that some chitheel on an old oily scoot, won PC.
We've since talked to others, similar outcome. They happen to be the SAME type of people, like in the Chesapeake Club, we tried. Theirs is "Everything", cause they spent THOUSANDS, yours is "jus' so, so".

"F" 'em. And for the life of me, I cannot remember EVER seeing one of theirs, at the gas pumps.
That's why we only go to "Ride IN" Shows, or the Swap Meet Shows. More of a "jury of peers" than the 9th hole, group.

Most events I used to go to are the reason I don't go to them anymore.

You are very correct Sir. I showed my Shovel several times after I got her all done. I would sit back and listen to folks and I was astounded at some of the comments I heard. They did not know the difference between a Shovel and an Evo but they could tell you what page of the JP Cycles catalog you could find the handgrips...

I built my bike for me. I could have put a lot more Bling on her, but it would interfere with the ride. I have over 75,000 miles on her since I did all the motor work in Nov 05. And that includes 13 months in Iraq...

Best of luck to you if you do show yours, but I am done with that entire scene. You will never see my bike in another show.

I was at a "shop" Saturday, In my cage, I didn't have anything "Harley" on me, shirt, hat , belt. So there's a bunch of guys standing around a custom chop. $100K, probley. Talking, Oh, this and Oh, that. I thought to myself, what good is it. I've never seen it at the gas station. Of corse not. His trailer was sitting outside!!
