Default Street Glide vs. FXDC Anniversary

I stopped by my local dealer for an oil filter, and as usual, took a look around the showroom floor. I love my Super Glide, and have got it just to the point where I am really satisfied with all the mods. I've spent quite a bit to get her just the way I want. I have looked at the Street Glides, and I'm beginning to like the whole look more and more. Well, they have an '09 SG in pewter pearl (my favorite color for this model) with Stage 1 and SE pipes already installed. It's got about 12,000 miles-it was in the dealership's rental fleet-and it looks immaculate. It was most probably well maintained with the recommended service intervals performed etc. It's for sale (17,999). Has cruise control also. I like the '09 model as it has the 2-1-2 exhaust. I'm gonna go in tomorrow and see what they'll give me to pay off my FXDC, and finance the SG. I'm afraid I might go for it if the numbers work. I know I will wind up paying more for it in the long run, but the note may be lower. I think my heart is thinking and not my brain. Help!!! Should I stick to my first love or take the plunge? I ain't gonna get any sleep tonight

Tough choice, I would guess the dealer numbers will make your decision for you.

Get what you WANT "numbers" be damned. You have already planted the seed of doubt in regards to your current ride so it's only a matter of time before you sell it anyway. Let us know how the Street Glide works after you get it .

Don't know about you, but I beat the **** outta everything I rent. A new ones is only $18,999.

I am biased because I have the exact same scoot. I love it man; the looks, the ride, everything about my 09 pewter pearl sg.
Go for it you will not be disappointed

The price seems high for a used bike to me. I paid $19K out the door for my red hot sunglo and it has cruise and abs.

You can find one cheaper with less miles that wasn't a rental.
