Anyone swapped wider rear tire on '95 Dyna?
I have a '95 FXDL Lowrider with a rear mag & 130-90-16 tire. A friend offered me a 2002 Sportster rear mag with 150-80-16 size tire. Has anyone used spacers, narrow belt, sprockets, or other parts to go to wider tire?
(I'd like to keep stock swing arm and rear disc brake)...
The 150 is about 1/2 inch wider on each side. This would not clear stock belt.
The wider tire only has about 600 miles wear, and was thinking about a winter upgrade... If this isn't possible/safe, I will just replace the 130 with a fresh tire and call it a day... Thanks!

I think your only problem is going to be your belt. Most people can get away with running a 140, but it is very close. A 150 WILL hit the belt for sure. I think there is enough room in the fender for a 150, but it will be tight. I was running a 140 Avon on the back of my bike and it touched my belt just enough that it made a shiny spot on the tire. No way I could've run a 150. When it came time to buy new tires I decided to go back to the MT90, which is the stock tire size and about the same as a 130.
