I once read a post in here where the OP said that difference between a Harley and other bikes was that the Harley had "Soul". If that bike could talk I bet you could make a movie from it.. Good luck and have fun with the restoration --send pics as you progress...

Got the bags off and tour pak already at my buddys house to be sanded and primered. Next to figure out the rear fender removal. The box of **** I got sitting here is amazing, nuts bolts, hardware, those junk latches...
If the painter clear coated the paint, you can water sand it gently with 800 or 1000 grit & polish it to perfection. If not, you might be able to use a good compound on it to bring it back. I would bring something like that to a body shop & pay the bucks to get it done right. it wouldn't cost much!

Better still if you can scuff it with fine wetsandpaper( I would go 1200 grit to polish) but just get it recleared
