Default it is ugly as hell, but its mine, and I am going to change that

Just bought it yesterday.

It needs a lot of beautification/ modernization. It looks like someone beat it with an ugly stick. Busted fairing, dented fender..everything else is manageable. Runs great. fireball 310 cam, Evo, S&S carb, Samson Exh.

Someone put a lot of money in the paint job years ago, bears fighting on one side of the tank, Eagle on the other, wolves on the front. I cleaned up the engine some at the car wash, needs a polish job..

Im a little confused, 87 FLHS, has a fairing? Police instrument panel?

Actually the owners brother rode it here 150 miles on their way down south. 25-30 degrees outside. COLD as HELL. Felt sorry for him, he wasnt equipped for the ride. A good running EG for $4000 is hard to find. I estimate I will have 5 into it when its done. 54,000 on bike, 16,000 on engine.

Naw...that's a rider right there. I'd leave it like it is.

If the painter clear coated the paint, you can water sand it gently with 800 or 1000 grit & polish it to perfection. If not, you might be able to use a good compound on it to bring it back. I would bring something like that to a body shop & pay the bucks to get it done right. it wouldn't cost much!
Nice bagger!
