This is cool... and unexpected
So I'm heading in to work this morning in Sacramento and notice the lighted message sign over the freeway says "Share the road. Look twice for motorcyclists"!
A couple hours later I'm on another stretch of freeway and see that the same message is posted there as well. It's kinda cool, but I know most (or all) of the cagers out there won't pay any attention to it and certainly won't change their driving habits.

Contrary to what I read there seems to be more awareness on the part of cagers the last couple of years in my area. I think the volume of bikes around in the summer is starting to get the message across. But I'm still always on hi alert.

Good information. I wonder if the driver ed courses teach "Share the Road" or "Look Twice Save a Life" ??? Sometimes it just takes a reminder. But then again we are all responsible to protect ourselves. Stay Cool Ride Safe. Enjoy every minute.

They have a sign like that where I live. it has different messages, but I have seen one that asks motorists to share the road and watch for motorcyclists. I'll not be letting my guard down anytime soon.

The fact is that it is hard to see a motorcycle if you are not consciously looking for one, so those signs do help. It is also difficult to judge the speed of an approaching motorcycle when one is used to looking at cars.
We need all the help we can get so whoever is responsible for those signs should be thanked.
