Default helmet suggestions

ex-rider returning after 24 years. took the safety course. got the license. bought some boots. going to test ride a fatboy and a roadking. looking for a helmet. thinking full coverage is the way to go. is there anything with breathing or ventilation holes? or anything that allows for airflow? suggestions appreciated.

Just got a Modular Helmet for $62.00 from uhelmets.com. You should check it out, they also have half helmets, helicopter lids, etc.

I wear an FXRG helmet, so does the wife.

You can find them on eBay for less than half what the dealer wants if you watch and wait for the right deal.

Shoei RF1000 here. I tried several brands before finding the fit that I like.

webBikeWorld has reviews done by riders on private purchase helmets, no manufactures paying to hype a review. I have read up on most of my riding gear there before shopping for it.

Go try on helmets.
(A medium Shoei will fit different than a medium Arai.)
When you find a helmet that fits, wear it around the shop for 10 minutes....You don't want to find the helmet that fit perfectly in the store (for 128 seconds) hurts like hell after riding (128 minutes).
Most reputable shops don't take helmets as returns, so take the time to determine a decent fit in the shop.
Once you know the make & model & size that fits, feel free to shop the internet.
(But do you really want a used helmet? Make sure it's a new one.)
I'm a Shoei head (fits me well), & have enjoyed their x-11 line (full-face) for awhile (good venting)....Recently I bought their RJ Platinum R helmet. It's a 3/4 helmet with a DOT & a Snell rating. Plus venting.
Good luck!
