Heel- toe shifters

Ya don't. Just remove the heel shift part and go to your H-D and get the end cap. They will know what your talking about. Mine lasted about 20 mins before I yanked it off during a ride.

As I was heading into the Bighorn Mountains, it started to rain. I went to downshift on a hill, and noticed my toe shifter hanging down by the floorboard. The splines had worn off. It kind of sucked, but I was able to use the heel shifter with the edge of my boot until I was able to get into town. The heel shifter splines were still in good shape because I rarely used it.
Nice to still have an option.

Been riding 50 years without one, tried it when I got my 08 but it kept me from sliding my foot around on the floorboard. I keep it in my saddle bag for a spare now.

Finally have one after 20yrs of riding, and I don't mind except when I'm going fast. I don't like the feeling of lifting my entire foot off the mount in order to shift. But for the most part, I like it and it will stay.
You guys that remove them... seems many feel pretty strongly about getting rid of them. My question is... Why do you feel that way?
