Default going to sturgis

Planning on riding to sturgis this year from Salem Or. My brother in law was going but changed his mine so it looks like I will go solo.
I wanted to know where to find alternate routes to SD , don't want to just get on the freeway and ride . I want to take my time and check out the parks and scenery

Good luck. Sounds like you can paint your own picture. Do it like you want. Plan your own trip. It will mean a lot more later than asking a bunch of internet ******** (me the most) about what to do. Get the map out out and go for it. It is your trip. Make your own adventure. You will be glad you did.

Take a look at Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Beartooth Pass and Cody WY. Then take Hwy 14 A from Cody towards Sturgis.

Depending on your travel time you might want to take I-90 from time Buffalo or Gilette to Sturgis.

Glacier might be out fo your way but make sure to visit there someday. Road to the Sun is awesome.

Can't go wrong with those points of interest.

Get a good compass and start heading SW. When you hit a state line that puts you near or in SD ask someone which way Sturgis is. Should be a fun and entertaining trip.

It may suck riding by yourself but at least you can go on your own schedule and take any route you want.
