Removing fine scratches in chrome

Croks right on.. most people don't realize how thin the chrome plating really is, hard chrome is usually between .002-.005 of an inch.. decorative chrome is even less.
not much to buff out before getting to metals below...
If the scratch is where U don't want to see it. then rechrome is about the only thing to do.

I tryed polishing some scratches out of a used chrome bumper we were gonna sell...burnt thru the chrome...looked a lot worse than before
There was a patch of the underlying metal showing thru
