My year round is maybe 80% bike. But only because I live in a Fair Weather and Lane Splitting state.

As of right now I only have the bike (the OL has a GMC Envoy), when I leave the house without her and the kids in tow I am on the bike.

I have always spent more time on the bike than anything else but over the last few years I have just about quit driving my pickup.

Just went out and checked the odometers on my three rides that ive owned since they were new, 2008 x-bones= 15,202mi. 2007 peterbilt 379 heavy haul= 257,089mi. 2008 ram 2500= 983mi.

Ive seriously considered selling my pickup many times but never have so if you cut out the peterbilt I would say im ALMOST a full time rider.

If I didn't have to transport my tools to and from jobsites I'd be on my bike except for snow days.

I have only done it for about 9 months way back in the 70's when some jerkoff wrecked my car and left the scene leaving me with only the bike.
I will never do it again unless I live on some South Pacific island where the weather is perfect 99% of the time. Not fun here.

I ride year round, but I have a couple of other vehicles. I some times have to carry a lot of heavy stuff - more than I could possibly fit or carry on the bike, so, I do use the Jeep pretty regularly, but, only when I have to.

Like you said, depends where you live, when I was in Dallas in the mid 80's, I rode al.... most year round. If I had my druthers, I'd ride every day. Now I'm older and the blood circulation ain't what it once was.

Around here, we call roads that when packed down solid with snow on top of them ,, Icy road conditions...

Though its not really Ice, Its still as slick as snot,, so maybe we really should call it (slick snot road conditions)...

Either or neither of them am I going to ride on two wheels with that kind of roads...
