Default Interview with Harley CEO

Brief interview with Harley's CEO - Jim Ziemer.

And talk about HD corporate backpedaling on the whole exhaust issue:

Why are Harleys always louder than other motorcycles?
"...Unfortunately, there are some customers who like the louder motorcycles..."

"unfortunately"!!!!

nice..............way to throw 95% of your customers under the bus.

sorry there Zimmie, but.....uh........is that your hand under the EPA's skirt there?

"oh no........we don't condone that.....loud's just not right......well, not anymore anyway. "

so, how much do you really love your customers?

your lively hood?

your paycheck?

try this on for size-

"UNFORTUNATELY.......WE ALL THINK YOUR KIND OF AN A-HOLE NOW"

We have work to do. There's no doubt when you look at a Harley event it's pretty Caucasian. Now we need to reach out more to minorities and females.
Good grief, how do you "reach out to minorities?" And what minorities are you talking about? Either you like to ride or you don't.

Maybe I won't go to the next Harley event. Wouldn't want to make the place too caucasian.

Just what we need. Some politically correct CEO who doesn't like loud motorcycles. I'm not talking straight pipes but I got news for you Mr. Ziemer, Harley Davidson owes their success to that sound.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
