Anti-theft Fob

The security system whether passive or active is in the TSSM (Turn Signal Security Module). To disable this type of system found commonly on the 07 and newer bikes you remove the TSSM and install a TSM (Turn Signal Module) which, of course, doesn't have the security feature in it.
Personally I don't like the system. I don't trust it and have had trouble with it. If the TSSM and the ECM go out of sync you have to take the bike to a dealer where they hook it up to a device called the "Digital Tech" to re-sync it. With a TSM you just need to lock the ignition to get the same security without all the BS.

You can (and should) setup a security system bypass pin that is entered using the turn signal switches. The process is documented in your owners manual with a card you should keep in your wallet. You never know when a fob battery is going to die or the security if system gets scrambled.

Only 2 fob's can be set to your bike at a time
if this bike has the disabler then you should have 2 fob's for your bike. Otherwise someone else might have a fob that will let them take your bike. The dealer will set them for you when you buy the fob's, and any outstanding fob's become void. (that is, if your bike has the system)
