Thanks for all the replies folks. It seems I have a problem here. I will have to press the dealership on this... I'll keep them aprised of the situation, but I think I'll wait until I have to put her away for the winter before having them tear into the engine - I getting gear drive cams then anyway. I'd REALLY hate to spend the rest of the riding season without my baby!

I changed my oil to Amsoil last change. It seems to be using more oil than before, but, I havn't got any real details. I think about 1/2 quart in 5000 miles.

Did you check it after the pre-trip sevice or during the trip? Could be the service guy didn't get it full. Just a thought.
