OH lord, now someone will be asking why there bike won't crank and was skipping and smoking like hell just prior to quitting. 2 gallons of oil will do that, lmao.

Default Two gas caps????

I realize on newer models that one gas cap is a "dummy" cap but on mine you do need to use both, yet, unlike my truck where I have two filler necks and then switch tanks when 1 gets low, the bike just pulls from both sides. Seems to me if the bike can pull from both sides, then only one cap would be needed.

Hmmm??

Anyone? Anyone?
A lot of design and looks go a long way back on Harleys. You need to go to the library if you have not already did this and do a search on Harley in the Computer Card Catalog. My library has about 5 great books and a couple of VHS on the history of Harley, Indian, Excelsor spelling?--. To answer your question years ago one side was an oil tank for the engine and the other was gas. They now only use the left side for a fuel gage but still make it look like a gas cap. My 04 sofail still has the label on it to remind you not to try to screw it off.

Two *********, two ****, two butt cheeks, two eyes, two ears, two hands. Seems things are better in twos. And yes, fill up both tanks.

My Evo is like this. It would take forever to fill both, with the 3/8 tubing between the two.

This way they can sell you two gas caps instead of just one.

One side is for riding, the other is for reserve, This depends on whether or not you've ridden where the next gas stop is 150 miles ahead.
