Default And down I went

Had a good ride today, was almost home. In fact I could see my house as I rounded that last curve. Hit some gravel, *** end swung around and down I went. Good news is that I stopped my fall with my left arm, bad news is I was wearing a T-shirt. Neighbors mail box stopped the bike.

Got some good road rash, banged up the bike pretty good. But nothing that can't be fixed. Was my own dumb fault, not paying attention and probably a bit to much speed for the curve, add gravel...bad deal.

That sounds exactly like my first crash, years ago.

My down fall was a slick manhole cover with no bumps. That was 1967.

Gotta NOT love gravel in any turn! Did the same thing 25 years ago. Don't wanna do it again!

Yep, still quite a bit of gravel out there still, especially at the intersections where the rain water washes it too, at least out here in SD anyway. It was a damned long winter..

At least you're okay. But you know we have to have pictures of the bike and the rash.
