The hyperchargers are performance killers. Always good for a laugh when we have to Dyno a bike with that crap on it at the shop. That being said for perfomance I'm not a huge fan of the heavy breather either. None of the forward mounted AC's seem to put up great numbers. If you're looking for straight performance I'd proabbly take a look at Zippers or NRHS.

I just picked up one of the 3" hurricane air cleaners from NRHS for my Iron and I can't wait until the heads get back from Baisley so I can bolt that monster on a see what it will do.

Had a Hypercharger on my last ride. If you decide to get one, change out all the hoses that come with it IMMEDIATELY!!!!The vacuum hoses that are provided with the kit are pure *****! Mine started dry rotting within 6 months. Replaced them all with a good windshield wiper hose and everything was good from then on. Performance wise? Not so much, but to watch that butterfly flappin' while at idle was why I got it. Ain't so much into the go portion of riding, but they do look killer on a bike. As mentioned, the Hi-5 flows really well. It not only pulls air in arround the sides, but from the top too......something to consider, and they look good also.

Hypercharger is better than stock but compared to other intakes it is crap.

SE heavy breather is a decent as I have one on my SERK.

The regular SE air kit is decent but the Big Sucker kits are cheaper in price and come with a K&N filter.

The Doherty Machine Power PACC is the nicest air kits out there. I have one of these on my Fat Boy.

Great info guys , thanks. From these post Im going to stay away from the Kuryakyn stuff. Im surprised that some are saying the SE heavy Breather are not great either. I dont understand why Harley puts them on all the CVO bikes???

Would I be better off to stick with the stock air cleaner and get the Fat Cat 2 into 1 and fuel moto stuff ?
Thanks

the problem is i've never seen any actual evidence to support this claim, only people repeating it on message boards like they're an authority. in fact i've shown very good dyno results and had people claim that's because it doesn't account for real riding conditions. not saying it's the best AC but it's K&N AC and definitely is a huge improvement over stock.
